Quick Tips on File Preparation
1. Save your files as a High Resolution or Press Quality PDF.
2. If your project has artwork that goes to the edge of the sheet,
you must include a bleed.
Bleed: The distance the ink extends past the finished edge of the product before final cutting. Standard bleed is 1/8”
Why is a Bleed Important? It avoids white strips of paper showing on the final trimmed piece. (See Examples Below)
3. Graphic images should be at least 300dpi.
4. Avoid using files with the extension .jpg, .png, .gif. These are meant for web use and generally are not the 300dpi minimum needed for print ready graphics.
5. Type should be outlined or embedded.
